These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all purchases made through the Substance/s online store operated by MATIERE.S SARL.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Products

Substance/s produces premium fermented non-alcoholic beverages.

As our products are crafted using natural ingredients and traditional fermentation methods, slight variations in colour, aroma or carbonation may occur between batches.

Product photographs are provided for illustration purposes only.


3. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are shown in the selected currency.

Applicable taxes are included where required by law.

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout before payment.

We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time. However, the price charged will always be the one displayed when the order is placed.


4. Orders

Orders become final once payment has been successfully completed.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of:

  • suspected fraud;
  • inaccurate customer information;
  • product unavailability;
  • payment issues.

If an order is cancelled after payment, a full refund will be issued.


5. Payment

Payments are processed securely through Shopify’s approved payment providers.

Substance/s does not store customers’ payment card information.


6. Shipping

Orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 business days.

Delivery times may vary depending on destination and customs procedures.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.


7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Food and beverage products that have been opened or consumed cannot be returned unless they are defective or delivered in error.


8. Transfer of Risk

Ownership and responsibility for the products pass to the customer upon delivery to the address provided during checkout.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MATIERE.S SARL shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of our products.

Our liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.


10. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, customs delays or governmental actions.


11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of France.

Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent French courts unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
